I began using this chef prepared meal delivery service over five years ago. It is one of my favorite solutions for almost any gift occasion. They have a huge menu of prepared meals, which are sorted by nutritional diets. Just to give you an idea of what the meals look like, I've put up a picture of one of their chicken parmesan meals. This one comes with rice pilaf and peas with pearl onions. They are hearty portions too. Their meals can be warmed up in a microwave, an oven, or reheated on a stove top immersed in hot water. They also have meals that come in microwave trays.

A really cool gift idea is their Mix and Match Meals where you can pick your main course, and your sides. If you don't like peas, then you can change them to something else. I've never seen an online food company offer so many options for their customers.

I did use another meal delivery service company called Home Bistro. I found their quality to be just as good, with a slightly different style menu. Home Bistro specializes in a sous-vide method of cooking meals.

I'm not a chef, but it is a French style of cooking where you cook in warm temperature water for a long period of time. All the meals come out moist, and their sauces are to die for.

In 2009, DineWise bought Home Bistro and sells their original recipe meals at DineWise.com in their Home Bistro Section. I love that I can send both company's meals in one gift box.
